Welcome to the Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute
An exciting future has begun at the Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute.
A center of excellence at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, the Cancer Institute is Arkansas’ premier cancer research and treatment facility. The institute’s staff of physicians, nurses, researchers and other health care professionals are dedicated to improving the health of all cancer patients, both from Arkansas and beyond.
In July 2007, Peter D. Emanuel, M.D., joined the staff as executive director and is leading the institute through its upcoming 288,000-square-foot expansion expected to open in 2010.
The expansion will not only add much-needed clinic and laboratory space, it will allow the expansion of research and treatment programs at the facility.
Please join the Cancer Institute’s staff members, volunteers and patients as we look forward to expanding our cutting-edge research and promoting access to treatment.
