The Cancer Control Department, in collaboration with the Arkansas Department of Health and in accordance with the CRC Act of 2005, will develop and implement a two-year demonstration project to determine capacity for age-appropriate colorectal cancer screening of the state’s uninsured and underinsured. CRC is largely preventable and screening for colorectal cancer can identify and remove the precursors of cancer before the disease begins thus preventing the emergence of CRC.
